All five have been our patients since childhood and we\u2019ve had the privilege of seeing them grow up to excel both academically and athletically.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\u00a0While it\u2019s clear that Ashley embodies the spirit of the Huskers, it\u2019s important to point out that Michael, Aaron, Jake and Spencer do as well. All four are walk-ons who were offered scholarships to play football elsewhere but chose to stay and play for the program<\/a> they had set their sights on since youth. \u00a0This season<\/a> they will play integral roles for the Huskers as the university enters its inaugural season in the Big 10 Conference.
